Thoreau is pleased to once again offer the Excellence in Action summer program for our rising 7th graders and new to Thoreau 8th graders. This week-long program has been designed by our own staff to help all students with a smooth transition from elementary school to middle school. Session is 1 is now at capacity. FCPS is planning to offer athletics for middle school students, starting with cross country in the fall. Students and parents will need to complete several steps prior to participating in middle school sports.

Registration has opened for the 2023 Summer Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology's Middle School Technology Institute. The program takes place at Thomas Jefferson and is open to all FCPS middle school students.

Register now for FCPS summer camps, including Institute for the Arts (IFTA) for grades 6-11 and Career and Technical Education (CTE) Summer Academy for grades 7-11.
