    English Language Arts 
    Goal: Growth and performance in coursework
    Growth and performance on state/national/international assessments in reading
    Evidence of progression towards or successful completion of advanced coursework

    Measurable Outcome:
    By the end of the 23-24 school year, 83% of all students will meet grade level expectations on the Reading Inventory (reducing failure rate by 10%). (In school year 2022-23, 81% of students met grade level expectation per the SIIP Workbook.)

Strategy 1 - Maximize daily instruction and practice in word recognition, reading comprehension, and grammar (Lexia PowerUp)

Strategy 2 - Increase opportunities to explicitly teach vocabulary using evidence-based methods (i.e. semantic feature analysis, analyzing word parts, frayer model, defining words in context, semantic mapping, etc.)

Strategy 3 - Develop oral academic language skills with frequent opportunities to talk using conversation structures

Mathematics
Goal: Successful completion of Algebra 1 by 8th grade
Measurable Outcome:
By the end of SY 23-24, 80% of all students will meet grade level expectations on the Math Inventory. (SY 22-23 = 75%)
Growth to Proficiency Sub-Goal: Increasing percentage of students meeting growth target by 10% for specific subgroups.

Strategy 1 - Increase teacher implementation of explicit instruction and other components of effective mathematics intervention.

Strategy 2 - Use conversation structures to increase academic talk between students.

Strategy 3 - Increases students' self-efficacy around the ability to be successful in mathematics.
