Second COVID-19 Vaccine for Students

Students who participated in the FCPS COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics for their first Pfizer dose will need a second Pfizer dose to be fully vaccinated.  The earliest a student can get the second dose is 21 days from the date the first dose was received.

FCPS will not be providing the second COVID-19 vaccine, but the Fairfax County Health Department has provided instructions on the How To Get Your Child’s Second COVID-19 Vaccine flyer.

  • Vaccine card:  Students will need to bring this vaccination card to the second appointment.
  • Schedule the second COVID-19 vaccine using VAMS
  • Other community vaccine providers:  The Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine is widely available throughout our community, including private healthcare providers, grocery stores, pharmacies, urgent cares, and Inova.

If you have any questions, please contact the Fairfax County Health Department’s Vaccine Call Center at 703-324-7404.

Returning Strong

We look forward to welcoming back our families for full time instruction in the fall.

Oakton High School Crew

Crew is one of the largest and most competitive sports at Oakton High School, and unlike most other varsity sports, no prior experience is required for rowing! Many of our athletes have never been in a boat before joining the team, but we prep all our rowers with conditioning to build strength and endurance, and technique instruction so that you can be fast on the water. We will be holding a Learn to Row camp over the summer, and will have a team interest event in the fall. For more information, visit our website at, or e-mail @email to get on our mailing list.
